A perforated clay cleaning towel is used during the decontamination stage of exterior detailing, after ordinary washing has removed loose dirt. Its working surface is intended to address suitable bonded contamination that a standard wash mitt may leave behind. The perforated format offers a different handling surface from a traditional clay bar. It is not intended for routine dry wiping or aggressive polishing.

Wash and rinse the panel thoroughly before using the towel. Apply a lubricant compatible with the towel and the vehicle finish, then move gently over a small section without forcing the material into the paint. Keep the working area lubricated throughout use and follow the product care instructions. Check the surface frequently and stop if the towel catches or the finish reacts unexpectedly. Rinse away residue before moving to another panel. Surface decontamination should begin only after the vehicle has been washed and loose grit removed. Use an appropriate lubricant and light movements on a small test area first. Inspect the towel often and stop if contamination becomes trapped or the surface feels resistant.

Not every painted, wrapped, matte or coated surface is suitable for clay-style treatment. Follow the finish and product manufacturer instructions, especially on sensitive or recently repaired panels. Never use the towel on a dry, gritty surface or assume it can remove scratches. If the working side falls onto the ground or collects abrasive debris, do not return it to the paint without appropriate cleaning and inspection.

After use, clean the towel using the supplied care instructions and store it away from dust and direct contamination. Inspect the working surface before each session and retire it if damaged. Select the Size option and follow the care instructions. A decontamination towel can support careful paint preparation, but the right lubricant and technique are essential to its intended use.
