Windshield Cleaning Tool

A windshield cleaning tool is shaped to reach interior glass areas that can be awkward to wipe directly by hand. The lower corners near the dashboard and the sloped area beneath the mirror often collect a light film that is difficult to remove evenly. A handled cleaning head can help guide a suitable pad across these areas while reducing the need to stretch over the dashboard.

Begin with the vehicle parked and the glass cool enough for the chosen cleaner. Apply an appropriate automotive glass product to the pad or cloth as directed, avoiding overspray onto electronics and trim. Work in overlapping passes across the interior glass, then inspect the surface from different angles for streaks. If the pad becomes dirty, clean or replace it before continuing. For interior glass, start with a clean pad and a glass cleaner suitable for automotive windows. Work in overlapping passes and finish with a dry section to lift remaining streaks. Keep liquids away from dashboard electronics and check visibility before driving.

Use only accessories and cleaning solutions suitable for the windshield finish. Some vehicles have aftermarket films, coatings, sensors or delicate trim near the glass. Avoid pressing hard on mounted cameras, mirrors and electrical fittings. Never use the tool while driving, and do not assume that every pad material is appropriate for tinted film or specialty glass. After use, remove residue from the pad according to its care guidance and let the components dry before storage. Check the handle and head for loose fittings or trapped grit.
